You should have lots of room with all that ram when Outerra goes 64bit.......

By the way, I am posting many of these videos from everyone here, but nothings stopping you guys from posting them yourself. You should all be proud of them.

Yeah, but even with my 770 4GB and 8GB of RAM it drops down into the 15-20s at sunrise and sunset when I have it set to Minecraft time.  Occasionally along the ground during the middle of the day as well.  Of course now the tree (and terrain) shadows are doing their thing.

I've seen that slowdown as well, but my instinct is that its fixable.

Windows Movie Maker?

Isn't it great how they remove features with every new version?...  ::)
Not to mention it doesn't come with Windows anymore either.

Yep excellent video! it got me to download movie-maker. So you're converting the yog to avi with ffmpeg instead of webm?

I actually went to the webm homepage and read through a few things, deciding how I could get it into a format that movie-maker would recognize, and found this very fast and compact freeware converter: http://www.xmedia-recode.de/en/index.html

I actually converted the clips to MP4 1080p, then when I was done had Moviemaker save the file as a 1080 MPEG-4/H.264 Video file.

As you can see, the output was of acceptably high quality, and over 4gigs of Outerra recordings was compressed down to 164megs!

My last movie took almost a whole day to upload to YouTube, and this one took only a little over half an hour!

I thought that was pretty impressive.

164megs for 7+ min of video, yeah that's very impressive compare to the 700-800MB i get with webM.  Thanks for the details, i'll check this out.

Hmmmmmm.... Something must have happened today. My latest video was at about 600 hits this morning.... Then, WHAM!! it jumped to over a thousand.

Interesting.

EDIT: Ok, I traced it down to possibly this post on Reddit. http://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/2icvi5/i_dare_you_consoles/
