It is going to need futher refinement with a real tire model and engine power delivery.. But for an alpha.

Look gorgeous.

I dont like how things handle in high speed. At the rare times your car doednt flip over and start flying, you cant feel that you are driving a heavy vehicle. Its more like floating.

Physics are far from great at this point. They are good enough for slow moving vehicles and for off-roading. Add any bigger amount speed and it acts beyond unrealistic. But this is alpha so stuff like this is expected. I do hope that physics in Outerra will get a proper overhaul and realistic values in the future.
Can't wait to see and try that. :)
Keep up the good work guys!

It all comes down to tire models for high speed vehicles. The Bullet Physics engine that is in use is very good but as of right now the tires are solid. Like "made of stone" solid. So once you get a model going for that in combination with a more advanced suspension model it should certainly beat arcade racers and modern FPS vehicles. Plus the terrain / roads need to have grip levels added and such.

... definitely going crazy imagining what cameni and angrypig has in mind for that part of vehicle physics.

We are still undeveloped as long as we don´t realize, that all our science is still descriptive, and than beyond that description lies a whole new world we just haven´t even started to fully understand.
