Honestly I haven't put much thought into it yet. I was thinking about finding some simulation code for that, but now I think it should be built into the vehicle simulation code, as a force that the water and waves exert on the vehicles. That way it should be easier to have hybrids too.

When ships come in, can we move around on the deck?...

The question should be: when objects came in, can we move on them? If that is the case, ships are also included.

The collision boxes decide wether you can walk on the object or not. But collision boxes arent implemented yet.

So, will the collision be made by the engine, or do we have to make it?

I expect the engine does the collission detection, but we have to generate the collission boxes

I hope the importer will be able to handle generation of collision.
This is 2013, and some things need to be effective, and collision proxies should be automatic if needed.

I even dream of Outerra/Brigade mixture :P
Wet dream etc, but who knows what the Gods might bring  :)

Yeah, maybe there is an approximated collission box system possible. Its like dividing the model space into its voxels to a predefined resolution. But such tools need time. Devs dont have that much of it ;)
