GUI
     1. simplistic showing your pockets, hands, backpack, civilization, and FAQ
     2. crafting menu
     3.chat
     4. time

GAMEPLAY
you begin as if you're in minecraft, except the inital start of the game the time is set to yr:0000 day:01 month: January time: 12:00. This game should be about civilization, community, politics, war, peace, and economy. now if you join the main server in yr:2500, it will have insane technology or if you join the main server in yr:1999 you will have basic technology now, too the cool stuff. at the menu when you start you will be able to create your person you spawn with nothing but underwear, but also when you start you will be put near a civilization or if you started at the reliace of the game you will be with the other 10 to 15 people who joined earlier or after you. you will have to help other civilizations and create massive metropolises and cities with skyscrapers and buildings and government. There should be a website that shows the flag of that continent and where and how there growing on a "google map" of the entire world. flags will be simple you craft a flag, once done if you place it will pop up a civilization creator, if your already in a civilization it will just default to that flag, but if not, you will draw your flag on a flag editor you get 100 of each dye color starting with blue, green, pink, red, black, orange, manga, brown, and purple. you will then name your civilization, set its government (libratarian, democratic libratarin, ancap, quadruplication, dictatorship or others). and then pop up a map showing your territory and others territory. after that your free to chop down trees, mine, add walls claim more land befriend other civilizations or other things. there will be a menu that pops up every time you place a flag that says this " battleground, city, or territory) now if your at war with someone and want to set a designated battle ground then chose war, if this is territory for a new city then do city, if its territory in a city or if your expanding an existing city it will be good for territory. Now for trade. once you build a boat, carriage or just tame a horse you can right click the horse, boat, or carriage and chose "designate trade transporter" and will track all the moment of that object on the world map on "whatevermap.com" so people can track the progress of civilizations the current wars trade routes and more which brings me into the next subject.

ONLINE MAP
the online map will show all of the current trade routes, city territories, bases, forts, towns, shires, battlegrounds and more. it will update frequently and show a graphic of that cites flag on the designated area of there territorys. it will update every hour

Definitely an online map... maybe every month a time-lapse video could be put together?
