Outerra can certainly be used for a MMO project?
« on: July 21, 2013, 10:19:04 pm »

Hello guys, I searched for something related to my question but I still asking me if Outerra can "certainly" be used for a MMO project.
I mean, a massive server system can be deployed with this engine?

By the way, some other questions always invade my head when I think in a MMO on that engine xD

If will be so much laggy.. or how will work the world loading... if can be deployed caves or indoors places..
I think if something like that works.. a epic game may result..

sorry my English >--<

Basically the answer doesn't depend on the world rendering engine that much (not primarily), but on the MMO backend, networking, gameplay requirements etc. OT just helps to render the big world with detail, but there's a whole lot of other components in a MMO that must be able to handle it as well, that are independent of the rendering.

It makes my spine tingly just thinking about the possibilities with the future.
