Tonywob: Moderator of the Avsim Outerra forum, creator of world2Xplane, and a member here (who graciously donated hundreds of world2xplane buildings which have been used in many Outerra scenery projects) is also one of X-planes foremost OSM experts and has expressed the desire to work on Outerra.

Here, he is showing his latest project for X-plane: Norway Pro, an Osm project that doesn't require photoscenery, and it looks great! I'm really hoping he gets a crack at Outerra OSM one day!

I've been using this one: https://www.windyty.com/

Its listed as a Wind map and weather forecast for kiters, surfers, pilots, sailors and anyone else, and it has a lot of detailed features.

Lower right hand corner is a dropdown for various altitudes. Clicking on the various selections above that gives you different views, like pressure, clouds, snow..... etc.  if you click on a particular location.... like a storm, for instance, you will get a pop up offering you detailed information for that location.
 
Drilling down even further (scroll with mouse and mouse wheel) you will see individual airports and can get even more information.
 
(Or even easier, just type an airport ICAO or name of a location under search)

What got me about this was how very plain the procedural "city" was in the daylight.... and how pretty the lights were at night. I sometimes feel like that about X-plane, which is why I often fly it at night.

I didn't even know they have started making "Next Gen Flightsim", sounds very interesting. Will be following this project.

It tuns out NGIS lost access to Unigine engine, so there's nothing to follow anymore really.

This is all I found:

Here's a brief description of the process:

Participating teams hosts a game server
Pilot joins the server
Camera man joins the server
The camera man positions his camera on the airfield and connects to the streaming software.
The pilot flies his show as the camera watches, filming the show as if he was filming a real display.
Whatever is on the cameraman's screen is uploaded through the streaming software and broadcast onto the selected channel.
The audience watch the show on a website (For vfat, the website will be http://www.livestream.com/virtualairshows)
Once the pilot has finished the show, the camera man stops broadcasting.

The next team will repeat this process, broadcasting to the same channel.
