Crashing when "Checking for new version"

I just downloaded the game and every time i open it the game checks for a newer version and causes the game to crash, please help!


Edit: I just tried again and it also worked for me, not sure what caused that.

Same problem here, just made an account to ask for help. I have downloaded the latest drivers.

 
          Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
             Memory: 8192MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

         Driver Version: 9.18.13.3221



Edit : It suddely started working, i havent done anything more to trubleshoot or fix the problem...

i had the same issue a few days ago..  its a server issue. if it just started working again. so nothing on your part
ALSO you uploaded your eng.cfg.... you want to share your eng.log for any errors. just for future reference

I've moved the server elsewhere, there were regular periods of high latency on the old one for no apparent reason. The new one seems to be much snappier.
