Some walking ?
« on: January 28, 2014, 04:46:50 am »

Just found this little thread-mill ,,, what ya think ? Should we start making actual steps in OT ?  :D

Just imagine - VR construction or other technical industry simulations in OT clamped into this thingy. And of course some OT-CounterStrike wouldnt hurt too ... well, maybe the legs a little. :D

We are still undeveloped as long as we don´t realize, that all our science is still descriptive, and than beyond that description lies a whole new world we just haven´t even started to fully understand.

Ah, the Virtuix Omni. Very interesting in combination with the Oculus Rift.
Nice thing with the Omni is, it supports every game out of the box. You could of course support it explicitly as a controller and tune the experience (for example by matching steps in the game to the steps of the Omni-user, but it can be configured to just trigger key-presses.

So I don't think the gains are worth the extra effort of explicitly supporting it.
