First Go : horses for courses
« on: January 28, 2014, 06:18:27 pm »

 Hi All ,

probably not the best thing to do by making a car horse for my first addon  but  i would like to think one day there will be Keyframes and such in this Engine so i will remember this first attempt with a smile i am sure :).

The Model i bought a lisence for another game many moons ago from Bob Marshall

Warning if you dont like horses and things this could take up 3 mins of your life you will never get back .
its meant as an experiment so i could learn and enjoy the Outerra engine , i dont inted to release until the Engine or  I develop the Skillz to make it half decent

apologies  havent quite sussed the youtube embed either yet .

Haha! Nice start!

I'd be interested in running horses off mountains and cliffs to see how they react with the environment if they can end up with animations and real physics :P

Keep us posted :)

You best post this to www.reddit.com/r/outerra before I do. All the upvotes.

 Thanks for replies  all
good to be here again at the beggining of something special , a feeling  i didnt have since 2001 when i first opened a game demo called operation flashpoint from a magazine , this engine will no doubt be the foundation of another breakthrough at sometime soon i am sure :).

My intention is purely and simply to learn all the attributes of turrets ,suspenion et al on a silly addon which is fun and educational and hopefully my notes will guide me for the real toys when the Engine develops , youcan see from my Youtube channel i am never convrntional always creating workarounds , thats my style to be a Problem solver and find ways to do something that shouldnt be done lol.
anywa thats me in a nutshell hopefully this will be a good ride .

Update

Very simple proof of concept , i hope you can undersatnd this is only really a view into me learning the scripting rather than trying to justify that a horse can be made this way :)

Very nice, you have me suddenly imagining Mountain Blade Warband with Outerra... Theres never enough room for cavalry charges of massive proportions in Mount & Blade, but in Outerra there sure are...

Hmm, Mount & Blade and Outerra, I'm liking the sound of that.
