Sketchup Vehicles
« on: January 29, 2014, 11:08:44 am »

Hi all,

If I created a model of say for example a Lancia Delta with Sketchup, could I add a script to it to make it behave like a vehicle after export, or can I only make them simple models that do nothing?

If it's possible, could someone explain to me how I do this?

Hi there is a very good video on youtube for just that

try search sketup to outerra or similar on youttube , i saw it other day , you will need to check out the <js script convention there is a thread here in forums too with a sport car setup , i think the script is v1.4 at moment

Edit found the video , basic priciples remain the same  :)  and the script thing  must match wheel names with whats in the script and probably some other define like emitter names

Cheers!

I'll give it a go when I have the chance and if I succeed I'll share on the Vehicles thread :)

Yeah I came across that script first time here, just didn't know if I could apply it to Sketchup models!

And no doubt, seems like a nice crowd on here, and always helpful! ;D

load model or Import first if not already and in game and press ALT E  when you are in vehicle and you can edit existing with copy and paste  from the file or alter with normal keyboard editing  alternatively find files in packages directory and edit or replace
