Exporter possibilities
« on: March 19, 2014, 01:01:55 pm »

Could you take a section of the map and export it as a file that would work in another game? so you might be able to basically highlight, copy, and paste areas from outerra into say...arma or dirt or even that tech demo of spintires?
spintires.com

sorry if this topic has already been covered, I searched for an answer but couldn't find anything in the forums.
or also sorry if this is basic knowledge I am new to this kind of stuff.

No terrain export is implemented yet. Even though some form of the export probably will exist because of some formal interoperability requirements, getting it into another application usually isn't straightforward and requires reprocessing, and the result in a non-procedural engine probably won't look like in OT.

But I'm actually surprised how often we receive this question.
