Forum Cleanup
« on: May 26, 2014, 02:20:27 am »

The forum is full of dead and small posts. A lot of them just being a question, an answear and thats it. Dead post.

A good idea would be to carry any answears and knowledge over to the wiki delete these posts. :-\

Ok, create a FAQ section on the wiki and fill it up with F&Qs. The wiki login should be the forum login. The deletion could be made after transmitting the fqs to the wiki. This question hasnt to be answered now i think.

Sounds like a great idea.
Many bits and pieces of information are scattered around the forum now.
There is no mention of the beta FBX importer (Ctrl-F7) for example on the Wiki.
Or the flight path recorder (Alt-P), although it does not seem to work at this point.
A list of planned features may also be of interest (clouds, lake support, 3D trees, city generator etc.).

If you go to the wiki, it begins with a link to How to get write access.

Anyone with OW account can get a personal access code and can contribute to the wiki. For example, material descriptions were added by Necro.
It would be actually great to get the wiki up to date and structure it better for the benefit of the whole community.

Update:
  • Added Troubleshooting link to the main Wiki page.
  • Created page "Troubleshooting" with some issues and their solutions

Cameni, please inform me if you like it, so I can go on.

Seems fine for now. As soon as more content is there we'll have to organize it better I guess. Any ideas/examples what the wiki should look like are welcome.

I was thinking if we could merge the "Timeline" and the "Roadmap" tabs into one.
Also, a mod page would be great. Project could be developed on the forums like they do now, but finished ones can be displayed in the mod section.

Also the following post can now be deleted:

... hmm ... maybe we should post pieces of working script-examples for newbies - maybe i should post some of my suspension set-up too ...
