Westeros?
« on: June 17, 2014, 05:25:11 pm »

I think, given the success of Game of Thrones, a Westeros world could generate a lot of interest in the engine.

People would be talking about it heaps, and making models to fill the world. If I remember correctly there was a Minecraft version built, so there must be height-map data out there.

The earth is amazing and should be the main focus at this stage, but there is also Middle-Earth, so why not Westeros? I would bet a fair few people would buy the engine to explore that, so it could help with funding.

Just a thought.

It is possible. You can already explore the world of Middle Earth in Outerra!
Btw, I want to start watching GoT, so no spoilers please!

No worries, spoilers suck! But you really should watch it, it's really good. :)

Can I have the Earth and Middle-Earth on the same computer? Or must I decide which one I use? I would like to explore Middle-Earth, but I don't want to have to delete all the Earth files.

Yes, you can have both!

At the login screen, select the Middle-Earth (medem) world from the menu above the login button. It's that easy.

Thanks, I'm downloading that now :)

Now to start making models of castles etc. should be fun :)

Do you know if there is a list of the coordinates to various landmarks in Middle-Earth?
