English House
« on: September 01, 2014, 01:13:58 pm »

Hello everyone! Yesterday i imported my first model into Outerra and it worked out good.
Now i bring you another simple lowpoly english house modeled and textured by me!

It comes in 3 different versions.

Some screenshots:

The detail is not amazing but i think it looks good enough (better than having an empty road! :P ) and i'm still learning how to texture stuff, so i was a little afraid with the details. Anyways i hope you like!

I'm still not sure which way Outerra is intending to go on this: Very detailed with enormous amounts of polys, or simpler with much less polys.....

Shouldn't both be possible with the right LODs?

Right now we seem to be at either/or.

Surely it depends on how you intend to use it.... I'd rather see a city of low poly buildings in my bomb sight with loads of AAA flak around me at a decent frame rate.

The church and at least one of the houses in Acetones scenery has a full interior. Outerra might need these too, as it aims to be more than just a flight simulator. Maybe an FPS is in there, as well!  ;)

Though for a flight sim this is more than fine. Thanks for creating it pedropp222!!

Thanks!
I know this engine is very capable of rendering very high poly models and high quality materials and textures. When i become more experienced in texturing i might try to make something a little bit more realistic than what i've made here, even though it took more than 1 hour to texture.
