Sound direction
« on: September 23, 2014, 04:39:45 pm »

For some time now i've noticed that the direction the vehicle sounds come from seems off.
It seems to be determined by the (absolute) heading of the camera, instead of by the position of the camera relative to the source of the sound.

It is most obvious in that whenever the camera has a heading around 240-245, the vehicle sound comes very strong (unnatural) from the left. This happens whether i'm in the vehicle,or when i'm using 3rd-person views.

Btw, the problem is there with or without binaural audio enabled.

Can anyone confirm this issue?

On another note, the HUD also seems to display values relative to the camera (even when in a vehicle, turning the camera increases the speed enormously. Of course this could very well be deliberate, but I thought it might be related to the audio issue.

Has anybody else noticed this, or is something wrong with my setup?

Hmm, there seems to be something wrong, sound coming from odd directions when I'm going around the vehicles.

It happens to me too, even when I'm inside, in this case, the cessna.
