Nice video :)

Cool, but this is not the only way of infrastructure placement, right? Since Titan is made mostly for military simulations, I think that using real locations is more preferable, but isn't it where OSM comes into play? I feel like Titan should have gotten full support of road and building import from OSM a long time ago. If you are actually making your own urban environment than yeah, sure, good stuff.
From this video I realized that it would be interesting to have an option of generating a generic city with appropriate regions and other specified parameters, so that you wouldn't have to spend tens of hours aligning individual houses.

I'm not sure it was the point of this video. I think the idea here is to demonstrate it's extremely easy to create a detailed hand made area inside the engine. Most of the products like Titan use dedicated editors for scenery management, often clumsy and sometimes top-view only. Here, they are just demonstrating all of this was made inside the engine, in conditions when you can check and test everything.

Titan has OSM support, that's 100% sure (you can see the roads layout in several videos), but OSM is good for filling massive space, for a more detailed military base for example, you will need hand-made content. City and road layouts from various databases are really common in military simulators. Real time editor and complex yet simple scenery tools are rare.

Good points!
I forgot that OSM includes civilian infrastructure for the most part. Effective tools for (re)creating something less conventional/more secret are indeed handy.

Availability tab of the website changed from "Details about availability for "entertainment" purposes will be announced shortly" to "Titan is not currently available to home users or for entertainment purposes"

So that's another 4-5 years...

Those videos look awesome.
Is any of the global road network or building import or maybe even New York City coming to Outerra anytime?

Quote
ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 28, 2017) - Rockwell Collins announced that it will supply and install eight customized domes and 11 desktop trainer simulation solutions for the Australian Army and Air Force Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) and Joint Forward Observer (JFO) communities.

“The JTAC/JFO simulators coupled with the Rockwell Collins FireStorm™ targeting solution provide a true train-as-you-fight and fight-as-you-train experience for the users,” said Jim Walker, vice president and managing director, Asia Pacific for Rockwell Collins. “This scalable solution allows students to transition from a desktop environment to high fidelity visual realism in a fully immersive environment in the dome systems.”

The Rockwell Collins JTAC/JFO simulators have been built from the ground up, utilizing innovative technologies from within the company and also by teaming with Australian companies Virtual Simulation Systems (VSS) and Titan IM Pty on core components for the simulators.

“We are pleased to have been part of the Rockwell Collins team in providing this world-class training capability to the Australian Defence Force (ADF),” said David Lagettie, CEO of Titan IM Pty Ltd. “The past four years of collaborative development with Rockwell Collins has allowed us to fuse our industry-leading technologies together in a single, focused solution for the ADF.”

The key benefits of the Rockwell Collins solution include ability to conduct JTAC and JFO missions true to the ADF processes within a highly immersive environment coupled with form, fit and function military equipment that provide real-time tracking and evaluation of trainees by instructors.

Rockwell Collins’ commitment to Australia dates back more than five decades. This fusion of industry leading technologies will be installed in seven locations across Australia over the next 24 months.
