Same problem encountered.
After using the Google Maps overlay for a while I get a "not enough space in image cache" error or something like that and the UI stops being visible.
What exactly it shows: "ERROR: not enough spaсe in image cache for C4E view size 850x60"

Google maps eat tons of memory. In eng.cfg there's img_cache_num_slices - you can enlarge that (a bit).

Well, Interestingly I guess, sometimes it says those dimensions, sometimes it says my resolution.  I believe it first showed me 850x60 (I think) while I was in the middle of using the full overlay, and then the next time it happened after restarting, it showed my resolution.  I don't know if that matters or makes a difference or if something else is going wrong to make it hit the limit faster (though it does sure seem like accidentally backing out of the map overlay and having to re-open it makes it happen a lot quicker).

Planet-specific settings have been moved from world.cfg to planet.cfg, which is not saved because of a bug.
You can create planet.cfg in data/earth/planet.cfg and put the following there:

when desintalas Outerra, and install the version 0.8.4.5372 Anteworld-back and gives this error:

meaning or better ... as I solve?
 I know it's a problem of AMD, using Catalyst Control Center, but can not eliminate all components AMD,, that program had to remove all components AMD?
I used the DDU,, solved and it worked
Note: Your drivers are bugged out or the install/update got botched. :o
Another recommendation. If your motherboard is old you must update the BIOS and walking by the net a llamanda malware LightEater infecting the BIOS, creating what is known as SMM, where they write new instructions into the kernel of the BIOS and then sent to the processor making your PC die in the act, it will not start anymore

Apart from that various functionality bits in vehicles and aircraft, including a way to attach and fire rockets and projectiles. Hopefully also a new configuration UI for controls will be completed with that, allowing us to finally release the extended controls.

Will this be coming soon or are we facing another 3 month gap?

We are working on it, unfortunately it wasn't yet ready for this release. Extended controls already work in our internal build (minus some bugs), rockets are on the way.

Changes:
Version 0.8.4.5819 (20 Aug 2015)
  • new scenery editor on alt-F1 (alpha)
  • support for basic vector rivers (not persistent yet)
  • new weather settings in F11, cloud coverage, wind settings
  • wind affecting aircraft, grass, tress ...
  • sunlight and moonlight levels modulated by adjustable cloud cover
  • monochromatic rendering in low light conditions to simulate human eye
  • moon model (not procedural yet), correct position and phase, affects night lighting levels
Awesome. Few suggestions:

1) New Scenery - really would like to see inport/export (share) option there.
2) Wind Settings - location based realtime weather (so getting online METARs and TAFs). Optionally importing them.
3) Sunlight/Moonlight - Have been waiting for night lights. But a bit disappointed - no moonlight shadows.
And more important night exposure is too dark (Fully understand that exposures probably very accurate).
So really would like to see eye sensitivity adjustments. Like automatic Exposure (aperture).
That would probably bring even more realism.

Apart from that - thanks for update.
Really enjoy to see new features.
