Rocks ! ... you still do it trough multiple meshes (splitting the blades up) ?

Yep, each blade is split up into 8 sections, to be precise. At this moment that is the only way to do it.

Custom vertex normals helps a lot to hide the seams. At high angles, they become a bit visible, though...

great effect, and that fluidity, I hope that with my old PC runs the same way. can I ask you how many fps? and that has the characteristics of your PC, and the settings of outerra? thanks for the great work 8)
My computer specifications:

For storage, I use one HDD from Seagate:
Interface: SATA
Capacity: ~1TB
Speed: 7200 RPM
Max. Transfer Mode: SATA III 6.0Gb/s


As you can see, my rig is pretty old too.

My Outerra settings when that video was recorded (when I record longer videos, and because of the stutters, I lower almost all settings):


So the average is about 35 FPS...

Probably not. I just come from the FSX world, and we all have to have generally above average rigs just to get the program to run less like a hamstrung pig! Why else do you think we have so many hopeful flight simmers floating around here?  =D
