At first I thought it might have just been another face tracking api but it is much more powerful then that. I wonder if it could be used in some way in Outerra. If it is open-source using it in combination with a standard webcam to control things would be uber helpful.

I like the learning capabilities displayed, very nice.
It would be even better if it was combined with Kinect.

What did you want to use it for in the Outerra Universe?

This guys professor was one of the people who developed the kinect.

Strait up face tracking was a first thought. Simple enough.

But with motion tracking of fingers and objects I was thinking it could be used to control minority report style floating menus in-game.

It could head track so as you bounce and move around in your seat slightly the menu's size and placement follows you like it is attached and stabilized to your head. (FU3DGlasses!!) Then you raise your hand and can move your virtual cursor over the different floating planes (across three monitors would be coolest) moving things around and selecting build options..

OT would be the talk of E3 with that going on.
