the limitation in the scalability of the games is a handicap for many engines that are good graphically but can not manage large spaces and their power is limited to small spaces.
This engine is an example.
Unreal Engine 4 (1440p 60 fps)

May I cautiously disagree? UE4 is capable of rendering quite large landscapes. Did you ever came across the UE4 "Kite Demo"? No it's not global rendering but also not "small spaces". Or Ubisoft's Anvil engine with e.g. Assassins Creed Origins.

I add effects of projectile impact and smoke from the game DCS very interesting to observe.
video sources Note: the video is hidden, since I am not its creator).

I also add the latest advances that have been shown by video from facebook (DCS) of the F18 / A 18C (it is also hidden since I did not find a link on youtube)
the advances that are observed are very interesting, especially the softness

DCS WORLD 2.X will be the new executable that will run the military simulation on the battlefield, where it will require at least one theater module.

Ancient Cities is a game in Alpha phase with a certain resemblance to what many users of outerra imagined in a naked world located in the Neolithic.
We will be aware of its development.

Mirage Soft is developing Project VR Fishing, a lure fishing simulator that will reach Rift and Vive this year. Unlike other fishing games, the South Korean developer is committed to offering a more realistic experience through the use of techniques such as photogrammetry and high resolution panoramic backgrounds
