SIMPLE FBX IMPORT TUTORIAL
« on: December 17, 2017, 11:14:58 pm »

Most of the people on this site have been here long enough to absorb all the changes as Outerra has evolved. But newbies (like me) have a hard time sifting through all the technical articles, some of which are outdated.  Most of the tutorials I've found show how to import a collada file, which is apparently not the preferred format now.

For the sake of any newbies who become interested in Outerra, here is a simple tutorial showing how to import a static FBX object into Outerra:

I think all bases are covered, but for those who learn better by reading than by watching, here's a link to a detailed text description of the requirements as I understand them to be.  disclaimer: probably some misunderstandings to be found, but I don't think any of them are deal-killers.  If anybody here finds bad information in the text description, please let me know so I can correct it.
