trees by night don't diffuse light when illuminated

At the moment trees by night remain totally dark even when illuminated for example by car lights. Would be nice if in the future any lights also illuminate trees. Will the physical based rendering be applied also to trees ?

Probably only the close trees, once they go 3D. Distant billboard trees will likely be lit only by strong lights like the lightning.
