"Alles ist schwierig, bevor es leicht wird".
Yes learning programming and even more so modelling outerra for me is still quite hard and not everything is possible. Also some limitations we have to accept and enjoy what we can get what is still a lot. ;)

A useful hint to improve visibility of the emissive runway lights from a greater distance is to change the "min object size" parameter in the outerra menu "graphics - settings". Makes the runway visible from a much greater distance !

This question arose in some occasion and it is true that although by defect it left 5 I always have it to 2.5. least I think the game is slowed down.I think there was an Acetone post that talked about it, and it was because of the visibility of the trees.
I think this discussion should still be in Discord, but I do not remember.

Continuing in udating my previous mods, here is the tarmac light ugrade.
Compared to the previous version there is no need to switch it on, so its much easier to use.
Also it has a lower impact on framerate (so you can place more of them) and it is visible to larger distances.
As the previous version it comes in 5 colours: white, red, green, blue and yellow
needed to set-up a complete runway lighting system.  For taxiway lights however better use my light-bulb mod.
.

download from here
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mVRpX6g4upHAI-isavjGknSipob4az9s?usp=sharing

installation:
for a clean installation remove the previous version of the tarmac light (if you have it installed)
by searching for package fly77/tarmac-light and delete the tarmac-light folder.
Then click on self-installing tarmac-lights.otx file
Any tarmac-light that you had previously placed in the scenery should thus be replaced by the new version.

use:
open the scenery editor by pressing F7 key
under "assets" search for tarmac-light. You will find a folder that contains the tarmac light in the five mentioned colors. Place in the scenery keeping the base cone at terrain level.

These lights were not the ones that turned on and off, with greater or lesser intensity, right?

Well, the old tarmac lights had the ability to change their luminosity...by pressing keys...not these new ones though. There is nevertheless a way to change their luminosity if you are not satisfied but for that you need to open the corresponding objdef file in fly77/tarmac-light folder  and edit the line "parameters" : "colore:1, intens:2.0",  ..change the value of intens.
But note that this will only affect luminosity when the lights are nearer than 300 m. It won't change appearance of these lights when the camera is farther away.
What you want to achieve ?

I was referring to those lights that were blinking, on / off on / off ... and frequency control ,, faster ,,, slower ..
it's a shame to lose such magnificent fly77 jobs. it was a job very well done.
