Don't tell me it's been cancelled?
They aren't communicating like they used to. It's been quite dead here on the forum, but they've shown signs of still being active on the Steam forum.
Here's what they wrote on February 7 on Steam.
Unfortunately we still aren't ready for a generally usable public release on Steam. Open issues:
- working AMD OpenGL drivers are not yet available (there are non-public drivers that already work, so it only depends on AMD release cycle now)
- server infrastructure for planetary data download
- VR issues
and a bunch of smaller usability issues. The release date will be set when we get closer to resolving these issues. Obviously we'd like for it to be as soon as possible, but we can't promise any concrete date at the moment, sorry.
For people that come check here because of the B-17 Bloody 100th - even though both projects use the same underlying engine, their releases are completely unrelated.

To be honest, I don't know if we'll ever see another update again. Speaking from experience from other abandonwares, no updates in over 3 years (which was only a hotfix) and lack of communication from the devs doesn't bode well. There may be another update, but don't put too much hope into it.
