Hello all

I haven't opened Outerra in a while and there was a 1.03GB update today.  When I launched the app, the world is black.  I can barely see the horizon and I have the start field , but Mother Earth is a black, formless void. 

Any ideas?

I had something similar. I deleted World.cgf and Eng.cfg files from my data files/outerra  folder    and worked perfect again.

I think i can try. I deleted but its in my windows trash. Just, i have more than one world.cfg there. Let me see the update date and then i will know which file is. Because one of the times i deleted same day of this trees update

That world.cfg didn't do anything except moving the time. I hope the problem isn't that there's a deep moonless night

Lets see. I send two. For some reason, i have two of each (deleted) with 6 minutes diference in the time i installed the update. So also send the other world with the two Eng.cfg

The world comes up with both of the config sets, but it's interesting - it appears somewhat gradually - I've never seen that

I had same fail again. Its like, you are flying and suddenly light bright so so much and image get weird. If you try close and open outerra again, problem not solved.
So, in this case i only deleted Eng.cfg. And was enough for  fix. So maybe you was right, problem maybe there.

The thing i did minutes before is change day for change weather. I was flying around swiss and i wanted less cloudy day so was testing moving day forward in menu until i found a nice day. I still like more the real weather because adds nice color effect i think manually dont add. So thats the reason i do that way.
Dont know if can be related with the fail or not.
I send Eng.cfg so you can investigate if youn stil curious. Certainly is not a big problem coz can fix easily deleting eng.cfg.
Or maybe is some problem with my computer itself. Run in low memory at some point or whatever.

Seems there are tree shadows turned off in your config, and that's causing the problems. Did you turn it off intentionally?

Ah yeah, i did. Also one thing i did minutes before. I was testing still configs and improve frame rate etc.
So in this time, mistery done. I only had this problem very few times. In the update and 2 times more or so.
This afternoon i will try another 16 Gb i have packed since time ago so i will test outerra with 32 Gb. Normally i have more things open, and Google chrome love memory
