With great pleasure I here share my latest mig29 upgrade. It includes quite a few improvements and new features:

- guided missiles and missile targeting view
- added "forward observer" ground camera view to view explosions on targets
- much more realistic jet sounds, including sonic boom
- realistic explosion sounds
- more realistic exhaust plume
- freely moving cockpit camera
- ingame help menu

installation:
    click on self-installing mig29-2021upgrade.otx file
    copy the file  fly77_plugin.dll into Anteworld/plugins  folder
    copy the folder missile3 into Anteworld/packages/outerra  folder
    copy the folder flare2 into  Anteworld/packages/outerra  folder
    copy the folder bullet into Anteworld/packages/outerra  folder
    copy the folder forward_observer into Anteworld/packages/outerra  folder



control keys:
control keys remain the same as for the previous version.
An ingame help menu is available by pressing "t" to view all key associations.
press ESC to exit the help menu and spacebar again to unpause the simulation.
The ingame help also lists the keybinding entries to map to joystick keys/axis in case you want to do it.
In addition to the old control keys some new keys are added as follows for the new
missile launch and camera functionality:

new keys:
- enable missile target sight : P
- lock target: right mousebutton
- to move target cross in: arrow keys 
- autofire missiles (each 20 secs):  K
- to move around in ground camera view: arrow keys
- to move around in cockpit camera view: arrow keys

use:
1) precision missile strikes with targeting view:
In bellow camera view press P to bring up the targeting cross
Move the camera as usual with the mouse.
Right click to lock target zone  (sqare becomes red)
Now use the arrow keys to fine-tune the target cross onto your target
press F to fire missile
if you wish you can move the target cross with the arrow keys to more targets and fire other missiles or drop bombs.
The three guided missile types and a bomb are avilable:
- R-77 mach 4 medium-range air-to-air missile
- R-73 mach 2.5 short-range air-to-air missile
- R-27 mach 2 medium-to-long-range air-to-air missile
- OFAB-250 bomb
The maximum distance to engage the target is 10 km for all.
The available flight time for all is 60 sec.
In case no target has been hit by that time, the missile/bomb will just explode in the air.

To choose between missile types/Bomb press ctrl+A  armour type is indicated in the left bottom corner as well as in the target cross.
An X near the end of the armour type indicates that the armour is locked to a target.
The target lock persists when you change camera views.
By pressing v repeatedly you will get to the ground camera which is near your locked target, acting as a "forward observer"
when in ground camera view use the arrow keys to move around (note the move speed is fixed and the mousewheel does not work in this case).

To unlock a target press P.
Note that until you lock to a new target the ground camera will remain at the last locked target point.

Important note:
Missiles and bombs produce damage on targets (objects evaporate and a fire is created).
but this happens only if you have inspected that target zone using the forward observer camera before firing or the targeted objects are less than about 2 km from the plane.
Else you will just see a explosion and a crater but no actual damage will be produced on objects.

Note that when a target has been locked even bombs will behave as "guided" so you can bomb targets that you wouldn't be able to bomb
just by dropping a gravity bomb.
If you want unguided missiles/bombs just disable the raget cross by pressing P. In this case you can use the
machinegun (left mouse button) as tracer to point on your target for missile launches.
For bomb drops for now you will need to rely on intuition as now bomb-sight is yet installed.

2) free moving cockpit camera: use arrow keys to move around the cockpit or move outside around the plane in whatever position you like.

note: after testing by stikehbuhn who found a bug I uploaded the mig again today so in case you had downloaded it yesterday (18/2/2020) redownload it again now...you just need to redownload the plugin and the otx file

It has been difficult for me to organize the folders, and I cannot always direct the missile to the target, and the changes of camera views are blocked a bit ... but I recommend this installation .. it is the best of the mig29 that I have seen.

I am happy.  You will get used to the new missile target system. "camera blocked" is because target has been locked. just press P to unlock target..that will unlock also the camera. With the missiles you will need some excersize ..for nearer targets better use slower missile R27..or OFAB bomb , for farther away targets use the faster R77

a great job ,, the sound is very good, it is a pity not to see the fire of the afterburner or the gases of the nozzles, but still you feel getting to enjoy the flight even more.
fantastic .. I made a small video ,,, I repeated music ,, but the idea is to see it to animate its installation.
