ProfPinhead's Vehicle Emporium
This is where I'll be releasing my vehicle mods for Outerra for the time being. I will most likely switch over to the Steam workshop once Outerra World Sandbox is released.
All credits go to the original creators of the models/sounds.
WARNING: DO NOT ENABLE DEBUG TEXTURES UNLESS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE PINK TEXTURE EXTRAVAGANZA!

2003 - 2012 Landrock Tributary 3500 XL
Introducing the Landrock Tributary 3500 XL, a collaboration between me and Fly77.
Ported from Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands, the Tributary is a large diesel pickup truck based on the third generation Dodge Ram pickups. It is bigger and more modern than the D-Series.

Again, as you should be able to with any pickup truck, you can put any object of your choice that isn't static in the bed and take it anywhere with you.

But it isn't your ordinary pickup truck. Thanks to Fly77, it has some more unconventional, and very exciting features. Carried over from his mod of the default buggy are the jumping ability and the drive-by/cinematic camera. But the real cherry on top is Phantom Mode. When it is activated, a green light on the top of the truck will turn on, and it essentially allows you to drive through any building, tree, object as if it didn't exist at all. Fly77 originally got the idea to create it when we were discussing how the bad collision on Outerra's buildings makes driving in cities, particularly European ones difficult.

The model from the dashboard is a modified version of the dashboard from BeamNG.drive's Ibishu Hopper. The model and textures have been somewhat modified to better fit the truck. All sounds are from My Summer Car.

UPDATE 4/19/2023: Thanks to Fly77 once more, a new feature has been introduced to the Tributary 3500, allowing you to pick up and drop objects in the bed of the truck! Here is his description of it:

Quote
And here comes the Upgraded Landrock Tributary 3500 XL, now with pick and drop items functionality !
And not only that : any items you pick, transport and drop with the landrock will be persistent in outerra in the place where you last dropped them !

Pick and drop items like the outerra default crates, balls and drums or even cars or fly77's bike
as well as a whole suite of other objects that you "make pickable" with a simple addition of a mass value to the model's objdef file (see below)
or install one of the many ready-made new pickable items that you can download for instance from
here (construction items kit)  https://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=5039.0

Use:
- The pick and drop function is activated by pressing the "O" key when you are in driver camera view. (its not active so far in external camera view ..maybe it will be fixed in the future)
- With the arrow keys move the driver out of the car to look around for items to pick up or drop.
- To pick an item point at the item with the cross and press the "INSERT" key to pick it up  (the item must be within 30 m range from the camera).
The item will load into the Landrock. If you're not satisfied how its placed in the landrock press INSERT again while pointing at the item. It will drop to another position in the Landrock.
- To unload an item from the Landrock again point at it with the cross and press "PGUP". The item will drop to the ground near the Landrock.
If you have many items to unload pointing at them one by one and pressing PGUP for each will unload them, placing them in a row on the ground from the back of the Landrock.
(note if the items start unloading too far from the landrock press the "O" key twice and repeat the unloading, eventually reloading the items first)

"make pickable" any STATIC model with a simple addition to the model's objdef file. (not needed for vehicles, boats and planes)
here's how:

open the models objdef file located in the model's user package folder.
Substitute the line
"parameters" :"",  with for example
"parameters" : "physics:{mass:5}",
to give the object a mass of 5 kg. or any other mass you like.
Save the objdef file.

Done ! Now your item that you can place from the scenery editor (F7 key) has become "pickable"

Controls:
Q - Activate/Deactivate Phantom Mode
O - Activate Pick & Drop mode (Only in Driver Camera)
V - Drive-by Camera
Num Lock - Free camera
Arrow keys - Move Free Camera/ Pick & Drop Camera.
-/+ - Zoom in/out drive-by camera/ Free Camera.
Insert - Pick up/load object (Must be pointing at it and it must be within 30m of the truck)
Page Up - Unload object

Because of it's functionality, this also requires Fly77's "fly77_plugin.dll". Install it to "Program Files/Outerra/Anteworld/plugins"

Gavril D Series
I present to you, the Gavril D-Series, ported from an older demo version of BeamNG.Drive

Before I say literally anything else, I'd like to thank Fly77 for helping me out with the script for this vehicle, giving me advice, and just being an awesome person in general.

It's a very basic V8, rear wheel drive pickup truck. So basic in fact, there aren't even power windows. As you should be able to with a pickup truck, you can use it to haul any objects that aren't static like the default crates and balls, and Fly77's cow.

Oh yes ! It happened ! Thank you so much for this fantastic mod  and the really kind words ! It's a long time I wanted to see something fun like this in outerra !
I immediately loaded stuff and did some test-drive ..a lot of fun indeed as expected !
I also noticed my cow didn't fit well into the cargo area. That is because by default her collision shape is simply the bounding box. so I corrected her collision-shape to her real body parts.
You can download from my cow release now the corrected cow and it fits nicely into the car. More realistic for sure...maybe less funny ?!  :))

An update for the Landrock Tributary 3500 XL has been released, introducing a new feature courtesy of Fly77: Pick & Drop! It's pretty self explanatory: it allows you to pick up and drop off objects with the truck with the click of a button.

yes  "pick and drop"  pretty self-explanatory. But to illustrate just some example screenshots

For those who missed where the transportable items come from and how you can easily create more form your models.. by just changing one line in objdef file ...find all of this here
(by the way: thanks to wezbuce for the concrete and lime bags made on my special request  ^-^ )
