Dear Outerra Team,
I hope you’re doing well! I wanted to take a moment to say how excited I am about Outerra World Sandbox and its incredible potential. The game’s planet-scale terrain and realistic environments make it truly stand out, and I have an idea that I believe could enhance the experience even further.
AI NPCs with Custom Personalities & Voice Interaction
I’d love to see intelligent AI NPCs added to the game, allowing players to:
Customize NPCs before spawning them, including clothing, names, and personality settings.
Have realistic conversations with them, just like how AI chatbots (such as ChatGPT) work.
Ride in vehicles with NPC passengers, making travel feel more immersive.
Set personality traits (e.g., friendly, sarcastic, adventurous) that influence how they interact.
Enable voice synthesis, so NPCs can actually talk out loud instead of just using text.
Allow speech recognition, so players can communicate with NPCs using their microphone.
Why This Would Be a Game-Changer
This would make Outerra feel like a true living world, where NPCs aren’t just static figures but real, interactive companions. Players could have custom AI friends, passengers, and explorers, making the world feel more alive and personalized.
Ensuring a Safe & Balanced Experience
Since the game is teen-friendly, the AI system could include:
Chat filters to block inappropriate language
Behavior restrictions to prevent harmful actions
Age-based AI interactions, so younger players get simpler, safe conversations
A Standout Feature for Outerra
With sandbox realism and AI-driven NPCs, Outerra could set itself apart as one of the most immersive and intelligent open-world games ever made. If mod support is included, players could even create custom AI personalities for endless possibilities.
I truly believe this feature could attract more players, enhance immersion, and create an unforgettable experience. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this, and I appreciate all the hard work your team is putting into Outerra.
Thank you for your time, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for the game!
Best regards,
Samuel Miller
