It crashes in the driver. Apart from a hw problem or a bad driver install it can also mean there's a third party sw interfering.
Could you run the attached proclist.bat and PM me processlist.txt file it generates, so I can see what runs there and what could possibly be interfering?

being an idiot. i installed it but it fails to add anything but an empty folder to the start menu. if i head into the outerra folder there is no start shortcut/icon. i've installed it somewhere else than in program files, as i saw was an issue here. any help would be welcomed.

i am so very into this but cannot get the thing to work. dash it all!

Hmm, even if you install somewhere else than program files, it still should create the right start menu item. You say start->all programs->outerra->anteworld is empty?
Try to install it again then to the default location.

First of all thank you for an very cool product with a huge potential. I do however have some comments and questions;

1). I wanted to make a plateau om a mountaintop. Experimenting using roads I got some semi-usable results. However I found it difficult to find the road markers once they had been deselected. Is there an way to do this ?

2). Is it possible to reset your world - removing all changes you have done to it ?

3). Is it possible to import your own 3D models, sound-effects etc into the world ?

4). The sun color choosing thinge doesn't seem to work for me.

5). Will there be enter able buildings ?

6). For now you can pass through objects - will you be able to adjust physical attributes ?

7). Will there be possible to have human/ailien avatars in the future ?

1) Road markers appear when you click on a road segment, but if the road is too deformed (usually in mountains) it may be more problematic. There's a >> symbol next to one button in road maker that cycles through roads in current terrain tile (around 2.5km in width), but you need to have a road selected already.

2) Your changes are in the cache folder, you can delete it but it will also remove the default scenery. You can reinstall it and save the cache folder if you want to keep it.

3) Importer will be coming soon, we are currently working on it and fixing issues in new unstable branch

4) Can you provide eng.log from a session where you are tweaking the atmo settings?

5)6)7) Each one planned

Thank you for a fast and excellent reply!

An log from such a session is enclosed :)

Edit: Didn't find the ">>" symbol though in the road tool...

Hmm there's nothing special in there. Only the sun color doesn't work, other sliders do?

I'm currently traveling and don't have a OT-usable computer with me, so I'm not sure which version contained the cycling symbol. As far as I can remember, it should be next to the lone button used to deselect the markers.

I see no change using the color palette thinge. All the other sliders seem to work for me just fine. I had a look again and unless I going blind, I cannot see this button. Perhaps others can confirm/deny this ?

Have a safe trip btw

The sun color adjustment on my copy takes place after you pick the color and touch the intensity slider. But you have to touch the slider.

The road editor seems normal. What do you think it is doing?

That actually did it for me - I didn't realize you needed to touch the slider :)

As for the road editor I wanted to show I didn't have the "jump to next  road marker" button. Perhaps it's somewhere else ?

Thanks for the help :)

Go to the help tab in the road editor and it has all the keybinds you need to know. Can't recall what the next / previous keys are.
