Ok, so the >> must be in the unstable version :)

Anyways, I see what you meant by not being able to select roads. Road markers can be only selected when the road tool is visible. You seem to have closed the tool to get rid of the markers in the first place; you can do that by clicking on the leftmost button. It works that way so you don't lose your edits when you accidentally click away from the road you are working on.

Yep it is planned, but we first need to resolve major issues we've got here.
Well, that answer is now nearly half a year old - could you solve the major issues? What are the current plans for a Linux version?

To be honest, Linux version wouldn't be even in the plan until we actually matured the Windows version, because there's no point in diversifying our resources at this stage, to burn them on even wider array of hw/driver/os combinations to support. Graphics driver problems on Linux are widely known, and given that we still fight with the driver problems on Windows till today, I'm scared of what it's going to be there.

However, since one of our other activities with OT requires a Linux version, it's probably going to happen sooner - but we can't guarantee exactly when, as it depends on many things yet.

Thanks to the developers, with the latest updates(!?), my graphics problems described 2 pages earlier in this thread are solved. I can realx again in the beautiful sunsets.

Btw, are the 3D trees underway? Can't wait.

One from Gamefront, the other served by Google ... it must be some other problem. Maybe you have overtight security settings or something.

Not until Intel supports OpenGL 3.3 on these cards. But from what we have been told, OpenGL 3.3 is not likely to be supported there - the hardware doesn't support some required bits.

Congratulations for the great job you did, outerra is awesome, never seen a such beautiful graphic engine in my life.
Searching in the forum I'm not able to find a thread that recap the alpha state so I write here. In case please redirect me in the right place, thanks!
Well, I was wondering when the next alpha will be released and what should be the new options and settings.
One of the think that I would like to see is an editor to model locally the ground.

Info about versions is posted in the support board, current version change log is here.

The next update will be out in a couple of days, will have Oculus Rift support, fixed underwater rendering, fixed smoke artifacts, fixed some perf issues on AMD 7xxx cards and a couple of other bugfixes.
