[Insert funny comment that beats the previous 4 here]

Man, I've had a really really nasty head cold that's kept me down and out, sometimes in severe pain, since last Thurs, but it's finally starting to go away... I hope.

And now I feel bad for supporting a 4chan meme...
at least it's a positive meme and not a dick meme...

It does, but the update paths are different for the full and the demo versions. Looks the demo version was only set to update to 2969 - I've corrected it now.
Demo versions should update for as long as there are critical bugs and driver detection problems; once it's stable enough only the full version will be updated regularly.

I hate Norton.... Downloaded the program, then when I was about to run it Noton has to be like "Nope.avi" and permanently remove it from my system because it hasn't been used enough by people with Norton...

I was on norton back in like 04.. Now I just uninstall it without asking permission on anyone's machine I use with it. I either replace it with Windows Defender or nothing. Nothing is usually good enough. It really depends on where your browsing and downloading. 97% of the people that use anti-virii programs don't need them. And 90% of the time they don't stop the virii that I end up having to remove.

Thats dangerous zeos. I should not count on the windows defender or nothing. Not browsing is not a protection against malware, because it just needs one affected computer in your network and you are fucked up. I'm using avg antivir and had no problems so far (especially with gaming)
But you are right - norton is too strictly. Thats just annoying.

I'm quite happy with microsoft's security essentials ( http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/products/security-essentials ) ... not disturbing, FREE ... and if you hit a shit, it will tell you ... ;-)

Been using VIPRE, however you do need to allow ports galore.
