I wanted to give a try, but it is kind of hard to get the exact same spot/time than the original photo has been made.
Well, here are my tries, for Mount Blanc and Mount Ventoux, both in France :

Mount Blanc real life (45°50′01″N 006°51′54″E)

Mount Blanc Outerra

Mount Ventoux real life (44°10′28″N 5°16′44″E)

Mount Ventoux Outerra

Ah. Mont Ventoux.. I can't wait to race up that in Outerra. rFactor leaves something to be desired as far as the view goes.

I bet nobody can find the locations of the shots of the mountain ranges and ocean view from the Windows 8 login pictures.  ;D

I don't know what this login picture looks like, but you gave me the idea to find the place where the Windows XP landscape picture, used as default wallpaper, looks like in Outerra :)

The original Windows XP wallpaper :

How it looks like nowaday :

How (I guess) it looks like in Outerra (coordinates : +38° 14' 56.25", -122° 24' 36.91") :

(Some info about this place in real world) : http://thenextweb.com/shareables/2011/08/28/ever-wonder-where-the-windows-xp-default-wallpaper-came-from/

Hel Peninsula (54°36′42″N 18°48′29″E)

Some polish tabloid wrote, that Hel Peninsula may disappear in future. So... that's a future simulator?  :P

Some time no post here -- i was stagered, that in our region almost no snow has fallen all the winter, ewen when we should be one of the most snowy in SR. So we took the chance of great weather whyte my friend to find some in the near Roháče mountains (part of the High Tatra mountainside). I think, i will start using OT to search for fancy sceneries to visit in the future.  :D  (of course FOV is a little mis-matched)

Location : Salatin mountain - Roháče - Tatra mountainside -- 49°12´44,736´´ - 19°41´14,689´´
