Square Pattern in Mountains.
« on: February 28, 2012, 05:20:11 am »

I've found on numerous areas that i've explored in the Demo i keep finding these weird square shaped mountains, i should probably insert a fry meme with "Not sure if bug, or coincidence" but i thought i'd put it up.

When encountering such patterns, please turn on the Google maps to verify if these aren't lakes - these are known to cause similar patterns.

Otherwise, it can possibly be a bug in source elevation data, there are a few of them around the world. These usually look like a giant steps from up close.

Saw this too but only when I reduced the Terrain quality setting to 360 instead of 480. I don't know what is happening on lower settings. But I will try soon.
