Found something ...  ;D

If you try to relocate your position when you're sitting in a vehicle (it doesnt matter which camera-mode) with the Lat/Lon/Alt-Function in the Locations-Menu you are forced back to the vehicle when you close the Top-menu. I've testet it with all vehicles and camerapositions.

I think you must remember to exit vehicle by pressing ENTER (I think) each time before doing stuff in UFO mode.

Excuse me but what is UFO mode? I read about it in the explanations in-game but could not know if it is a name for free paning or?

It's just the default camera really.  Free flying.

Yep, the default camera. It behaves like a UFO: you can start/stop and change the direction almost instantly, hence the name.
