I have the HD space, no problem, but I don't recall ever being asked if I wanted to do so by either the installer, the game, or the download site. I never had cause to even suspect it was an option until you asked me just now.

The data can be downloaded in advance, but that's not the solution to this problem. There are no download errors in the log, but it's full of "taking over an out-of-view tile level X", which means there's not enough space in the tile cache. It looks as if the info about terrain, that is being read back from the GPU was getting corrupted somewhere.

Hello,

I had an older version of Outerra (which worked ok). I removed it and made a fresh install with the latest installation package. I have a "Your current Nvidia driver version is too old" Fatal error when I want to run the new one.
My specs  : Asus G74sx 8Gb ram laptop, Win7, Nvidia GTX 560M with 3Gb (296.16 driver)

Here is the eng.log :

Due to driver bugs we require newer versions of graphics drivers, can you install the latest one from Nvidia?

FYI: Version 301.42 works with GT 540M! I installed "301.42-notebook-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql.exe" from Nvidia.

Of course  :-[ I was a little quick. I checked you, cameni, had already choosen the right link for his GTX 560M.
So my info is only for GT 540M users if there were problems...

Do we know if or when Intel will be supported?

They released a driver some days ago but no difference. I can see the sky, that's it. I highly doubt they can sort it out in the future. I reported this 10 months ago! I gave up on this.

Hi Cameni! first post here. I have to say first that i'm really impressed by the game engine. Great work!

I have one question, you mentionned earlier in this thread that to show FPS you need to press ctl+F12 . I tried it but to no avail in any view. Did i missed something?

Some people reported a problem with that hotkey before. Hmm, did you try it with both the left & right Ctrl key?
Anyway, you can edit the iomap.cfg, find the show_fps name and set it to some other key.

I tried with both ctrl key yes. Now i edited the iomap.cfg and the game would not load. It says it was looking for iomap.default.cfg for some weird reason. So I renamed it iomap.default.cfg and it worked. Game was loading fine but still could not see FPS, even when setting new binding key. Oh well, everything else is working well so i'll just keep it as is for now.

Did you edit iomap.cfg that's in the data directory? Seems as if you changed the one in the program dir.

Hi! Trying to run on HD 4570. I know its old...but trying my luck out here. Whenever I fire up the program, it asks for the demo mode, and after the selection, it just stops at this page. I have attached a screenshot. I have configured the proxy as it says in the earlier post on this thread. I also get the blank page with bunch of digits (0.7.13.3478) when I go to this site: http://outerraworld.com/appdata/Anteworld/version on my browser. I dunno where i am going wrong! Please help.

Unfortunately only transparent proxies will work, error code 307 is a redirect and the updater doesn't recognize that. You may try running it with -demo switch, in which case it omits net checks.

From the log I see the commands take way too long, are there any other programs running? Anything that displays overlays on the screen, antivirus etc.
