In the latest version there are workarounds for Intel that make it run with the newest Intel drivers, though it's still buggy and we are looking deeper into it ...

Hi All!
I have had this software for about 3 weeks.  OMG ...EXCELLENT at full 1980 x 1080.    Now I have just received the Oculus Development Kit (real cool).  The only issue that I have is optimum settings for the Outerra software.   The Oculus can only accept 1280 x 800.
Any advice on settings would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

ps  eng.log attached as well.

Using a higher resolution than Rift's native helps with the aliasing, I'm using it with 1920x1080 normally, with Rift set up duplicating the main display.

Hello. So I've followed all the steps from post #1, i.e. removing and reinstalling my drivers, and the engine still doesn't work. I need to mention that my system runs on Windows Xp - 32 bits and my video card is an ATI 4600 series. My system's features are: Intel Pentium CPU 2.66 GHz - 2.68 GHz and 2.00 GB of RAM. Hope anyone could help me. Thanks

P.S.: I'm a total noob.

There are several problems with it:
  • ATI 4xxx series is no longer supported, because AMD discontinued support for the drivers while the OpenGL implementation was still buggy. Legacy drivers still kind of work, but there are lots of artifacts and some elements don't work at all, or it changes in every version.
  • Windows XP is barely supported - there are limits on memory mappable between CPU and GPU, and other running programs (especially browsers and device drivers) consume it.

The latter is also why it fails on your system - not enough memory for communication with the GPU. Also, 2GB of system memory is too low.

Hey guys, having the following issue when launching:

System specs: http://i.imgur.com/1TzD0a1.png

I've had Anteworld for several months, and it has run without issue. It's been a few weeks since I launched it. On launch tonight, it updated and then threw this error. Catalyst is up to date. Any ideas?

Log attached.

Please install the latest version from http://demo.outerra.com, the version you have is an older one, and there were some issues with graphics card detection.

Hi Everybody,
I'm a Oculus Rift Dev and I have download the demo.
It works fine and the oculus experience is very very good.
However I still got an graphical problem. Regardless of the sun position,
the sky remain black (like there is no atmosphere around the earth.)
Do i miss something ? I have attached two images for example and the eng file.

Thanks for all the helps you can share with me.

Atmosphere settings are adjustable in environment settings (press Esc and then click the env icon), perhaps the coefficients were reset somehow - try resetting them to default values.
We haven't got a Quadro card to test with, so there may be also an issue with these cards.

I've tryied to change all the in-menu options but not one of them have change anything. (quadro ???)
I've the same problem with another quadro (the 2000) so maybe it is due to this technology ?

Thanks for this quick reply.

Could you try setting debug_mode = true in eng.cfg and send us the eng.log afterwards? It will create a debug OpenGL context, there might be some useful messages from that.

I've modify the eng.cfg, delete the old eng.log and relaunch. Here is the resulting eng.log file.

Everything seemed to work fine with 13.11 BetaV1.

Card is: AMD R9 280X 3GB
