This may be similar to the wavy shadow problem, in which case that is the way shadows are currently done.

I really like that models are self shadowing, and that they are dynamic. I also like the LOD system for them and that they are sharp when you are up close and you need them to be. Other than that, the current shadow system seems to have some problems with things like clipping. There is a lighting technique out there called Differed Rendering, I wonder if that can be applied to this engine, since it already has FXAA, so it's not like they'll have to change the Anti-Aliasing method.

Also it would be nice to have the ability to add other light sources other than the sun.

And terrain shadows, those would be good.

I for one liked the shadows that CryEngine has.

I tried to disable from FXAA to OFF and to 1 in shadow AA and to push to min shadow resolution but I got same result.

Yeah, I'd expect that. I'm sure mine are the same, I'll check when I can later. Like I said, that's just the current shadow system, I doubt you'll see a fix until other things are addressed first. But that's just a guess, I don't know much about the current goals of the dev team.

Yeah seems to be a issue in the game, place the ISS and you will see some more of similar nature. Its said this is how Outerra is and its unknown if it can be fixed without significant performance issues, possibly its another limitation with OpenGL 3.xx (which I think outerra is built on).

Maybe it will go away when OGL4 is used?

We know about this issue. We plan to fix it soon but there are more important features we have to finish first. Like object importer and better collision handling.
