Terrain Texture Variation
« on: March 08, 2012, 01:34:48 pm »

Hi, I'm new here. :)
I bought Outerra a  couple of days ago, after being extremely impressed with the demo. However, I see a problem, in that there is not much texture variation in the Outerra world. China and Africa look very much alike! Are there any plans to fix this issue in the near future?

Yup.  Eventually it will be based on real world colors I believe based on satellite data or something I think.

Yes, climate & biome support is one of the things being worked on, should bring the variety of terrain types, with colors matching those of real earth.

Updates with various fixes and enhancements appear every few days, but this one will take longer .. I could really use that cloning machine :)
