Hi all :D

I discovered this program looks really interesting but when I launch the famous "black screen". I tried all the solutions proposed but no change

ps: Escuse spelling errors. (I am French)

I've got:

Laptop Acer Aspire 8930
with:
Nvidia (new driver)

So you aren't running Afterburner or some other graphics card tool like that?  I think that laptop has a Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT, so I think it should be able to run it.

Were we having issues with laptop video cards or was that fixed?

No I don't use these program and my graphic card is: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT        and my driver version is 295.73

Thank you in advance :)

I hope that there will be a patch fix because I envy the possessor of Outerra;)

Edit: Not fixed I uninstall/re-install it...

Please send me a message with a list of your running processes.
We'll need to make a list of known programs that cause this, that fiddle with graphics in a way not compatible with OpenGL apps (it's likely a driver issue, but we can't do anything about it).
The last one who had this problem was running Bitdefender.

So far, from what I've seen thus far, BitDefender, Afterburner (and other benchmarking programs), as well as some audio plugins like Tint for TS, completely destroys OpenGL programs.  My best advice is to shut down everything, and bring those processes up one by one before, during and after, running Anteworld, to see which one causes the issue.  Took me weeks (possibly months) to narrow my OpenGL issues to the Tint Plugin for Teamspeak, for a separate application.

Yeah I use Bitdefender But I can't stop it (when I am in the process of the task manager I can't stop "bdagent" process (bitdefender))

Hmm... Maybe it's kind of like Afterburners recording server thing?  It restarts when you try to close it.  Right click on the application (or applications) that have to do with BitDefender in Task Manager, right click it and click Go To Process or Find Process or whatever it is, and end the process(es) from there.

No There juste the process of Bitdefender but I can't close it in the process (When I tried, there are this message:"The operation could not be completed         acces denied")...

Bitdefender is known to cause startup problems in other OpenGL apps, for example x-plane. Please exclude outerra.exe from its claws.

Run ProcessExplorer in Admin mode.  That'll shut down almost ANY program (though some will restart).  If it does restart, then you'll need to go into the Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services to shut it down permanently.

I uninstall Bitdefender anddd     its work :D    I want to say Good Job for the programmeur and for this Beautifull program :D

Hi Spoke612 . You could simply disable virus protection in Bitdefender . Auto scan off , in settings - antivirus - On access scanning (Off) and Active virus control (Off) , there was no need for reinstall. I had the same problem .
