I came across this, I guess 2 years ago, and was just now reminded of it while thinking about how awesome Outerra-based games could be in the future. Has anyone else here ever heard or played a bit of it? It has a similar space-to-surface generated land thing going on, but actually has a fairly neat if simple space sim working on top of that. Besides the fact it uses the Hipparcos Star Catalogue to basically have infinite (for a single human) stars and planets to fly around and discover.

I've played it. It was fun for a little while, but the guy stopped updating and it gradually died.

Yeah, sadly. I spent quite a few hours messing around, checking out all the planets that were created.
Now I'm hoping to see something like that, only with Outerra as the backbone.
