Orbiter?
« on: March 30, 2011, 12:36:10 am »

Hmm... the question is:

Is it possible to create game project on this engine with Orbiterlike phisics?

"Orbiter" is a spaceflight simulator with pretty correct astrophisics.
Such as newton phisics for central point gravity forces (Kepler laws and such included)
On other hand it has standart atmosphere model wich allows to modellin correct spacecraft landing.
(it`sn`t good at low speeds, but realy intresting at super/hipersonics)

For now, people using it to modeling such as appolo or spaceshuttle missions.

P.S. "Global wish"is to have Elitelike game with correct phisics.

Outerra doesn't tie you to a specific physiscs. OT is mainly a world rendering engine, with interfaces that allow to access data needed for collision modeling and such. It's possible to use Orbiter's physics with it, as well as some arcadish one if someone wishes so :)
