Hi, me again.

I got everything working with my own JSBSim model for simulating the hang glider, (ab)using the Cessna 172 model. There's just one thing: Hang gliders don't have cockpits, so the Cessna model is a bit in the way. Is there an easy way (e.g. changing a file name, editing some config. file) to have Outerra not display the 3d model? Of course I did some tinkering with the Cessna already provided by simply changing its JSBSim config. file. Is there a possibility so I can add my model as an aircraft on its own?

Cheers, hopefully soon with a video of me flying my simulator with Outerra :-).

In eng.cfg, set sim_mode to true.
