Should basically be two different systems controlling the bodies.. HOWEVER.. JSBsim can act on things like spoilers on vehicles and affect them via air resistance and hopefully when a plane is on the ground or "crashing" into it some of the detailed interaction physics will be in play.

Ok, so it seems like both systems will interact with "the vehicle" depending on the context of what the vehicle is and what it is doing. Is this correct?

That is my current belief. Cameni at some point mentioned JSBsim being used for aero on vehicles. A long time ago.

JSBSim has its own handling of contact points, but tire simulation can be reused there to some extent, I think.

With an engine like outerra I would hate to see it go ashame to a measly vehicle simulator I would much rather see it becoming something unique not just a vehicle simulator but I would love the real physics to be there as well as vehicles.
