I've taken a look at other black screen errors, but none seem to apply
The graphics card I'm running is the HD6950

I can log in, but as soon as I do all I get is a black screen. I can still access the menu though, so I tried to apply default settings. When I do, I get the following error message "MSAA disabled because of ATI depth bug". I only encountered this issue as of the update this morning 0.7.16.3738

Any ideas how I can fix this? I do love this game :)

Did you try deleting eng.cfg and world.cfg to get the default ones regenerated, in case something is wrong with the config values?

Ok, can you upload your eng.log so we can inspect what may have gone wrong?

It still may be an issue with the Catalyst installation and AMD drivers drivin' in mysterious ways, in which case the only way is to cleanly reinstall them. A black screen is often appearing in this case.

Hmm, nothing special.
So are you saying that with the default values it works, but after you change the settings it goes black screen after restarting?

It wasn't working so I attempted to reset the defaults in game but it wouldn't let me. I then deleted the .cfg files and reopened the game and it worked. I tried to reset the defaults again (just to see) and the reset still didn't work, even though the game was running. Then after about 30 minutes the screen went black and stays black until I delete the .cfg files again (resetting the defaults in game still don't work).

Actually I just tried deleting the .cfg files again and this time the screen remained black. Quite odd...

Black screen bug with NaNNaN.. time is present again in 3738, had it a few times already. Editing world.cfg  "time-of-day" parameter solves the issue temporarily.

I have the same exact problem with this last update 3782 I think. I can get to login screen and I can log in normaly, but after that world won't load up. I can still see menus and everything, but hour slider doesn't work (it's stuck) and it says NaN:NaN instead of showing the time.
I tried uninstaling and reinstalling drivers, I tried newr drivers, older drivers, nothing helps. I've tried deleting eng.cfg and world.cfg and still no go.
It worked normaly yesterday. I don't know what to do to fix it. It's the first time I got this bug.

And ideas on how to resolve this issue? Thanks for your help!

Try deleting the campos/earth/default.cam from the data directory (not from the program directory).

Edit: I don't even have that file o_o
I only have ...campos/medem/empty folder
I have no idea why it isn't there as I didn't delete it, or any other file from outerra.

It looks like that is the culprit. How do I fix this?
