The Little Things

Basically, post here about the tiny things that make a surprising amount of difference. Most of the talk on these forums has been large-scale planning :P Apologies if anything's been discussed before.

What I'd like to see:
A speedometer on the truck.
Hopefully, some sort of manual gearing - so PageUp and PageDown (or other keys) do change up and change down respectively.
Random colouring of grasses - at the moment it's basically all green, isn't it, but real, rural grass has spots of brown and straw-colour.
Same random colouring of dirt and rock - although water would affect colour, turning dirt to mud.
Solid trees.
Also, there's a bug (?) in which the Tatra, if going down to steep a slope, suddenly launches into midair, spinning wildly. The engine goes into overdrive, and goes off the end of the keyboard in pitch!

The old Tatra 813 had a working speedometer, and I actually don't know why it isn't implemented in the new one - with the script it can be easily done as long as the pointer is a bone in the model.

This needs a universal input interface so that you can assign any input actions. Vehicles can then implement whatever they want.

Grass is colored, but the effect is subtle. If you saw it without coloring you would immediately notice the difference.
A larger variety will come with the biome support.

A bug, the simple engine model in Tatra derives the sound pitch from the vehicle airspeed :)

I look forward to the additions, sounds like at least you know they're possible :P
