Release
« on: November 12, 2014, 03:06:12 pm »

I have ask so many times and still don't get a answer and I see other people asking no answer for them either! I really just want to know do we have a time frame until the engine is releasable to 3rd party?!?!

Also is there a possibility of Lua support being added, that would super amazing!

I love this engine I really wanna work with it!

:D

... no real timeline ... the most positive release date, i would say, is still 8+ years ...

Honestly, as much as I love Outerra, and am more than willing to wait a reasonable time, if the developers said that, I would have to conclude it has no real future. Nobody on earth is going to wait around for a total of 10+ years or more on a single game engine.  ;D

I think it took less time to bring the actual 747 from design to roll-out, than that.

Tell that to a kickstarter audience, and...........  :(

Well ... unreal wasnt in two aether  ... they just haven't had an alpha out. :D There is a lot of work still and i think that only environment stuff (clouds and lighting, biomes n stuff) will still be going out progressively during next so 3 years (still, my own estimate if i look back the time im following them, no idea if Cameny plans something really special in the time).  Than there is probably a ton of work for the overall capabilities of the engine, + testing it all properly. Its not a homework such a thing, doe it already has a lot of functional stuff for vehicle creation. I wont bury it no matter what people think.

Also, its not a SINGLE game engine ... its an engine for many stuff ... and whyte some great potential.
