Deformable Meshes

Is there any plan to incorporate this into the engine?  Or rather, anytime in the somewhat near future?

By deformable meshes, I mean, tires that could squash/stretch under weight, or even just the possibility to rig/skin a character/body for FP view inside a vehicle? 

This could also move into things like waving flags, trees, ect.
