Help to recover missing structures--
« on: August 18, 2012, 08:45:46 pm »

Downloaded ver 0.7.12.3230-now all building structures are missing---  (obviously I don't get it)- last ver "0.7.11.3100" all structures were in place-don't understand  this "manual install" procedure-could you explain? (Also- cannot find the download link to reinstall the older version "0.7.11.3100")
Thanks,
Joseph

The new development version doesn't contain all the buildings from the old one yet, as the model format changed.

About the manual install - old version will not automatically update to the new dev version, so you were supposed to download it and install manually, as you did. It was suggested to chose different install and data directories so it doesn't conflict with the previous installation. If you did not, and want to return to 3100, please uninstall and delete the cfg files.

The link to the 3100 version is here: http://www.outerra.com/forum/index.php?topic=637.0

Thanks for the quick response and link- any idea when the new model format upgrade will support structures?   Also- plane engine shuts down nicely, but is there a way to shut land vehicle engine down- so as to hear other ambient sounds (wind, crickets, birds, etc.,)

Thanks to you and your partner for the continuing hard work in modifying and bringing forth such an incredible cutting edge achievement for the benefit of so many-
the whole world of simulation has been lifted and inspired and we can only imagine what the future has waiting...
All the best,
Joseph

No, there's no way to turn off the engine yet. Just to re-spawn the vehicle, which will have the engine turned off.
