I need help with rigging vehicles in blender

I am verry interested in rigging and importing vehicles but i don't know anything about rigging or any of that (other than making a few scenes in blender a few years back)
I haave a few models picked out but i dont know where to go from there.

I read that this morning pretty useful actuly, by the way when is the tutorial video to be expected?

I could make a small tutorial. Tough, I don't about some ingame mechanics work yet. I will try later to make a thread which each step to bring a vehicle from blender to outerra.

I don't know if this would be any help, but I did a quick video of how to get a simple vehicle from Sketchup into Outerra. There's no sound, but it should be pretty simple to follow.



The main points are:

Each wheel should be a separate component.
All wheel components should be grouped under a single other component.
Each wheel's axis should be aligned to Sketchup's own axis.


The script (of which I understand very little) is a direct copy from Luishi5k0's Extreme buggy (cos its super simple) and then just adjust the wheel height to match the model.


Hope its helpful to some people.

Ok, I have been messing around for a bit in blender and all i managed to get the wheels disappear when i import it and i added armatures on all the wheels parenting the wheels to the armatures... I'm stumped..
