Collision issues with vehicles and terrain
« on: May 31, 2013, 10:41:24 pm »

I am getting some issues whereby the vehicle will fly into the air and spin uncontrollably. Also, when my vehicle lands on the ground on some angles it will stick half way into the ground, it is drivable but until I hit another rock it stays that way.

I'm sure there is still work to be done with collision parameters but just noting it as it is problematic. On road is fine. Off road is the issue here.

Yeah, it was stated that not every part of the vehicles collide with the terrain yet.

(What's the reset key again?)

Alt+R to reset script or ~ to reinsert vehicle.

Never even took notice of these keys. They will do in the meantime. Unless I want to see spinning circus  cars   ;D

Actually I can't wait for the vector tech to be added and roads added then driving (on road) would be just awesome. Off road is another story all together given the right vehicle.

What you mean .. roads added? You can make your own roads already.

I wasn't very specific here was I. What pytonpago said, one day when global vector roads are available. making roads is fun but seeing global roads in place would make driving more fun.

... getting gps maps ! :D  ;D .... doe, it would be nice if the data would have specifics of the roads (if its a highway, or just some dirt road ... ) and those would be implemented too trough the importer (roads width or if its dirt/low class/asphalt) ... something could be done even about bridges and tunnels.  :P    I do think doe, that something like this was discussed some time ago when the google maps app has been in the front and Cameny was planning something like that for the future, when the time is right.

I like recreating the real world roads myself.  ;D

(Those larger rocks sometimes get in the way, though...  :-\  I like having them there, just not them messing with my style of road placement.)
